The iCARE project has started: healthcare open and inclusive for all
The iCARE project (“Healthcare open and inclusive for all”) is implemented under the INTERREG IPA “Greece – North Macedonia 2021-2027” Programme, with the National Confederation of Disabled People of Greece (N.C.D.P.) as lead beneficiary.
The project’s central goal is to remove the barriers faced by vulnerable groups — especially older people, children, and persons with disabilities or chronic conditions — in accessing healthcare and social services.
What the project includes
- Mapping the accessibility of primary healthcare infrastructure in the Programme area.
- A cross-border web portal with accessibility profiles of healthcare units.
- Pilot home healthcare services in the municipalities of Prespes and Resen.
- Training of health professionals on inclusion and equal treatment.
Project activities will be completed by August 2027.
